We've discovered this little GEM, friendly service, warm and GR8 atmosphere, and the food and wine is also outstanding. When driving past Harold's, do yourself a favor and stop, you'll wouldn't regret the visit. The ONLY drawback is that they're only OPEN on a Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Besides the lovely restaurant and the amazing food, they have the most beautiful wedding venue. The arch with the view of the mountains is magnificent and the stone reception area is cozy and magical. They are affordable and the buffet, three course dinner was amazing. The guests could simply not get enough of the pulled pork and the green bean casserole. Karla the wedding coordinator is a wonderful help. We stumbled across this winery today and wow what a great place. Situated quietly amongst the mountains, the wine, the cheese & meat board and the host all amazing.  We weren't sure what we were going to find at the end of the dirt road but we are glad we did. Chardonnay was my pick but the Pinto Noir also does not disappoint! In the mountains of the village of Herolds, an escape to the Herold Wines vineyard is one of the most glorious ways to spend a lazy day and not just for their wine. Their platters are delectable and pizzas, in my opinion, are the best in George. The swirl, sniff and sips of their wonderful wine tasting selection is well worth the short hop from George. Many of the wines produced have an interesting story to tell…. My favourite being the Skaam Skaap. We were so fortunate to have tasted a bottle of their unlabeled bubbly.  When Nico and Maureen begin producing this Brut bubbly we will be the first to order.  It was heavenly! We are so blessed to have this gem on our doorstep. Beautiful surroundings and the hosts were very accommodating. We stayed one evening and spent a very relaxing evening. I highly recommend the wine tasting.
